I'm a huge movie fan and especially love independent films, partly because they take risks and offer new perspectives.  This week at the Screenland Theater the concert film "Awesome! I F***ing Shot That" is opening in Kansas City.  The director passed out 50 digital video cameras in the crowd at a Beastie Boys concert and let audience members film from their vantage points. Then he edited it all together to create a unique concert film experience.  "Prismatically and kinetically, it captures the experience of the live musical performance."  Talk about engaging your audience!

Come on, nonprofits. We can do better than boring print newsletters, slick brochures, annual reports and direct mail to engage our donors and key constituents.   There just HAVE to be new ways to capture--and share-- the experience of your mission in new ways.
